Who is Wolffish Training and Travel?

Wolfish Training is a small dive training and travel company based in southern NH. Our primary instructor and guide, Ryan King, has been diving New England and other tropical dive locations since 1990. He grew up diving Cape Ann and Southern Maine. In 2000 he earned his instructor rating through SDI and TDI. In 2002 he crossed over to PADI so he could work for a local shop in Massachusetts. Over the last 7 years he has taught course with both training agencies both through Undersea Divers in Beverly, MA and privately. He currently teaches SDI and TDI courses from Open Water to introductory technical diving.

Ryan believes that diving is best taught in small groups with courses tailored to meet his students specific needs. He teaches middle, high school, and an occasional college course and has a great deal of experience working with students with a variety of different learning styles. The importance of hands on experiences to becoming a better diver is paramount to his teaching philosophy. As result, small classes are the norm not the exception. From your first open water class to an offshore technical dives he approaches all courses with enthusiasm and patience.

In addition to instruction he enjoys leading individuals and small groups on shore and boat dives. His primary passion for diving is marine life and shipwrecks and has spent more than 15 years exploring the waters off New England. He has a Bachelors in Biology and Environmental Studies and Masters in Environmental education which he routinely uses to help his students understand the organisms environment we spend so much time in.
